Casa Batllo Barcelona. Famous modernist building by Catalan/Spanish modernist architect and designer on Passeig de Gracia street in Barcelona. Every day from 9am to 10pm. Book tickets online in advance to avoid lines. Casa Batlló is visited by over 1 million people a year. It was Gaudí's genius that transformed a drab 19th century apartment block into one of the most unique buildings in Barcelona and perhaps one of the moust famous buildings in the world. It became known as Casa Batlló, named after the Batlló family, who commissioned Gaudi to renovate the building for them. Gaudi added a gallery, new balconies and polychrome ceramics to the existing façade.

Inside the building, Gaudi redesigned rooms and unified the courtyards and the staircase in order to allow more light and ventilation. Two extra floors were added and Gaudi's masterpiece was crowned with a spectacular ceramic roof and terrace. In the summer you can enjoy Magic Nights summer concerts on the Casa Batllo roof.
